Our staff of Mental Wellness providers offer a concierge service to assess and connect first responder's or their family members with a therapist and other services that understands the public safety culture.
The NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) recommends to upgrade your EAP service to an all encompassing program called a Behavioral Health Assistance Program (BHAP). A BHAP should offer members of your department direct access to 1:1 care and support when it comes to connecting to an effective counselor who understands the fire service culture.
The NFPA newest revision will also recommend yearly Mental Health Assessments for all members. PSCS has developed a platform to conduct these assessments and performance coaching sessions utilizing an online platform. Individual and department wide results will be accessible for comparison from year to year to monitor changes in the workforce individually and collectively.
